
BLAST was a regional project that focused harmonisation and integration of geographic data covering both land and sea in the North Sea region. From 2009 through 2012, BLAST involved 17 partners from 6 countries, including governmental organizations, universities and private companies collaborated. BLAST was funded by the European Union as part of the Interreg IVB North Sea Region Programme.
The Danish Geodata Agency was involved in all the project's six work packages, and served as the lead partner for the BLAST's communications.
